Marvel cover artist Guile Sharp teamed up with South African veteran writer and producer, Alan Hayward, to launch Dark Lion, a Graphic Novel, multimedia, and multiproduct franchise centered around the media-dubbed "Dark Lion" - A young, furious, and vengeful vigilante trained by the legendary warrior tribe, "The Banna ba Tau" - The Sons of the Lion.

Lionel Leonard adopts the persona of the great cat and hits the streets of South Africa's golden metropolis, Egoli. But little does this contemporary, bone-breaking dark avenger know what the dark continent had installed for him all along...

The Comic Con Africa 2024 success story is now over 13 years in the making.

Dark Lion, as an IP, was first a well-received contemporary epic origin, action-adventure movie screenplay, that became an internationally published novel, which grew to a completely developed 5-Part TV Series, which serves as the blueprint for the graphic novel, now on Kickstarter.

The fan-powered Dark Lion Franchise kicks off in early 2026 with a 5-Book Graphic Novel series that covers the epic origin saga.

Within a few months, we launch a series of NFTs linked to fan participation tokens. The Dark Lion Token (DLT) owners will share in the upside of the live-action 5-Part TV Series.

P2E Gaming with NFTs & DLTs is a priority, complemented by board games, trading cards, and a range of digital and physical Dark Lion universe collectibles.

The natural extension of consumer products, such as a Lion’s Mane & plant caffeine clean energy drink range, bodybuilding supplements, and general superhero merchandise.

Comic books and animation are not off the table, but reserved for a later stage.
